Teachers Can Never Stop Learning |
|
This year Houston ISD teachers were introduced to a new appraisal system. This new system is to evaluate teachers and help them grow as educators. The goal of this new initiative is to have effective teaching and rigorous learning in every classroom. Kennedy Teachers met on November 9th and focused on differentiating instruction. Teachers collaborated ideas and shared strategies on effective teaching. Kennedy teachers know it's important to continue to grow as educators and adapt their teaching to cater to a diverse group of learners. Principal Daryl Sherman said, " In order to improve our practice we have to study the new rubric and really make it part of our daily routine."

Kennedy teachers kicked off the new school year with an awesome team building activity. Grade levels competed against each other in various activities. It was a lot of fun, but more importantly helped each grade level learn how to work together. Team work is essential to have a successful grade level and prosperous school year! |
